For as long as I could talk, I had strong opinions on fashion. Throughout my elementary years, I would cry to my mother anytime she dressed me in something I did not approve of (I almost never approved...my poor mother). Naturally this could not last, so at age 11 I took matters into my own hands and decided to start making my own clothes. It started with easy straight stitches, pillow case dresses, and the more-than-occasional hemming of my brothers' pants, conveniently presented to me 10 minutes before needing to walk out the door. However, through tedious straight stitches and begrudged hem jobs, my "passion for fashion" was born. Soon I was making all my own clothes, slowly replacing my wardrobe with my own designs; and eventually, I began sharing and selling my designs!
Over the years I've had unbelievable opportunities to travel all over the world, deriving inspiration from incredible places across the globe. I've been able to immerse myself into the lives of some of my favorite designers, including Ives Saint Laurent and his time spent in Marrakech. With such unbelievable history, culture, and beauty densely packed into these places, it is no surprise these designers had such rich ideas. These experiences have given me immense inspiration and have made me excited to design for future collections.
